Core Returns
Many products have an associated core charge. Products with core charges are clearly identified as such on the product page. The core charge is added to the cost of the product and is eligible to be refunded when the original part being replaced is shipped back to Standard Diesel Direct.
Core returns must occur within 30 days of the new product being shipped. To return a core, fill out the Core Return Authorization Request. If a core has not been received within 30 days of replacement product shipment, no credit will be given and the core will be returned to the customer at the customer's expense. Credit will only be issued for cores owed. Additional cores sent will either be scrapped or returned at the customer’s expense. Cores must not be incomplete, missing components, burnt, tampered with, or disassembled. Cores should be returned in the original manufacturer’s box. If the original box is unavailable, pack the core securely to prevent damage during shipping. Cores must be drained of all fluids before returning. Cores that are incomplete, missing components, are damaged or have damaged components, or are disassembled, will not be accepted. Cores must be 100% like for like and match the replacement part in year, make, and model.
Do not ship cores in the same package with or comingled with parts returns or warranty returns. Cores need to be clearly identified and labeled.
To initiate a core return, please complete the Core Return Authorization Request. Once the request is received, an email with an RMA number and a Core Return form will be sent to the email address you provide. The Core Return form and RMA number must accompany the core when shipped to Standard Diesel Direct. Cores shipped without return authorization, or that do not include the Core Return form and RMA number will be scrapped or returned to the customer at the customer's expense. Core credits may be delayed or denied if the returned cores are not properly identified in the box. Rejected cores will be returned to the customer at the customer's expense.
